At Chefs Cut Butchery, we’re always proud to support our community - and this year, that support starts a little closer to home.
Our owner, James, will be taking on the TCS London Marathon on April 26th, raising both awareness and funds for the incredible charity Epilepsy Action.
Why Epilepsy Action?
Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions, yet it remains widely misunderstood.
For many, epilepsy is seen as an inconvenience - something associated with flashing lights or occasional seizures. But the reality is far more serious. It is an unpredictable and potentially life-threatening condition that impacts people’s daily lives in ways many don’t realise.
That’s where Epilepsy Action comes in.
They are dedicated to creating a world without limits for people affected by epilepsy - offering support, connecting individuals, and providing trusted information to help people better understand the condition. Just as importantly, they work to challenge the stigma, prejudice and barriers that people with epilepsy face every day.
Taking on the Challenge
Running the TCS London Marathon is no small feat. It requires months of training, dedication, and resilience - something James has been working towards alongside running the business.
But this isn’t just about crossing the finish line. It’s about making a difference.
By taking on this challenge, James hopes to raise both awareness and vital funds to support the ongoing work of Epilepsy Action.
How You Can Help
If you’d like to support James on his marathon journey, you can donate via his JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/james-vickers-epilepsy-action
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps support the incredible work Epilepsy Action does and brings us one step closer to better understanding and support for those living with epilepsy.
Thank You
We’d like to thank everyone who has supported so far - whether through donations, sharing the message, or simply cheering James on.
From all of us at Chefs Cut Butchery, thank you 💙
